motion graphics

Note: most of these animations were optimized for web encoding, hence the basic shape compositions, smooth motion and minimal blending of semi-transparent layers or 'scratchy' effects (a web encoder's nightmare!).

motion graphics & animation montage

For those with short attention spans, some of the stuff featured below blended together into one smooth and tasty montage. Included are some RS branding identities, feature intro segments ('Sessions', 'New Faces'), and selected band interview intros.   Running time: 1min

tunes.com advertisement

This piece was creatred in 2 days for Tunes.com IPO Roadshow. This video was taken on the road by our CEO to advertise the site to potential investors. I drew that TV, supplied the media, directed, and produced this piece with the help of editors at Atomic Media (at the time, we didn't have the gear to do this type of thing in-house).   Running time: 1min 22sec

This is a shortened version of the original piece and is among 200+ interviews and concerts I edited while at RollingStone.com. Warning: Strong language.   Running time: 1.5min

'new faces' feature identification - Flash

Similar to the After Effects composite pieces above, this piece was created to be attached to rich media compositions; such as QuickTime, Flash, or SMIL (Real) audio slideshows. This was part of my proposal for interactive video news, instead of our static daily video music news.   Running time: 6sec
